During the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Zonta e-Club of Thailand I began an online campaign.
The campaign launched on 25 November 2017 and ran every day until 10 December 2017. The campaign, based on the theme "Once Upon a Time," was posted online, on Facebook and on Instagram and used photos and infographics of facts and figures relaying important information on violence against women around the world. A new poster with information about violence against women was shared for each of the 16 days.
Members of the Zonta e-Club of Thailand I hoped to create an awareness of violence against women as a human rights issue.
They also hoped it would educate people in their community as well as raise awareness of their Zonta club and Zonta International’s efforts to prevent violence against women.
To have an even greater impact, club members invited some of Thailand’s social media influencers to join the campaign and help to promote it through their social media channels.
As a result, club members say they managed to reach an audience of over 15,000 people.
